one of helping them clarify their life values, establish meaningful
goals consistent with what they value most in their lives, and
then follow through with both persistence and patience to achieve
desired results. In
the early 1980's, Ken became a leader in taking financial life planning
education into the work place. He successfully combined a program that
communicated the value of employer-sponsored benefits with a highly
personalized approach to financial life planning. The services provided
have included workshops, customized modeling software, and face-to-face
meetings with individuals and couples. As founder of The Rouse Companies,
Ken trained a team of instructors and developed financial life planning
software that became an integral part of the educational programs provided
for corporate employers and their work force.
Ken
is a graduate of Barton College and Texas Christian University.
His formal training included psychology and counseling as
well as technical financial services. Ken is author of the
book, Putting
Money In Its Place, which was originally promoted in cooperation
with a TV series created for FNN (Financial News Network). He
is also one of the co-authors of Ernst & Young's
Retirement Planning Guide. For the last 30 years Ken has
been in the business of providing leadership and direction for
businesses, as well as highly personalized life planning services
for individuals.
